Continuous Clearing- Real-time Cheque Settlement

This is to inform you that Reserve Bank of India (RBI) vide its notification dated 13"August, 2025, has announced start of Continuous Clearing and settlement on realisation in Two phases. Phase One implemented on 4 October, 2025 and Phase Two : Is not implemented till now and Date is yet to be announced.

Continuous Clearing will have total 6 cycles of one hour each in the day starting from 10 am to 4 pm. In Continuous Clearing, Cheques will be honoured on Real-time basis and hence you are requested to ensure sufficient balance in your CASA Account before issuing Cheque. Please take a note of the above change of clearing process so as to avoid unnecessary inconvenience. We seek your cooperation in ensuring smooth transactions under the Continuous Clearing system.

Important Notice

Positive Pay System

Customers are hereby informed that Positive Pay System is mandatory vide RBI circular DPSS. CO. RPPD. NO. 309/04.07.005/D-21 dated September 25, 2020.

Under Positive Pay System, you are required to give intimation to the Bank about the details of the cheque immediately after you issue the same if the amount is Rs. 50,000/- or more. You can give this intimation directly by accessing "Positive Pay" through Mobile or Net Banking or across the counter.

Please submit Positive Pay Intimations immediately upon issuance of the cheque.
The information entered in PPS will be tallied with the actual details of the cheque when it will appear in clearing and in case of mismatch of data the cheque will be straight way returned.

The "Positive Pay" system is a measure by RBI for additional due diligence in cheque clearing process by validating cheque information to drawee bank and is mandatory.
